When I first unlocked endless when the DLC was released, I spent most of my time trying to make a no-Jes comp work. They're the best healer and best stress-healer in the game, so not taking them is pretty criminal unless you're taking a cheese comp, but that was made harder with the endless rework. Regarding OP's question, unfortunately Endless will pidgeon you into what we call "JESTAL" comps. HWM, FLA, and even the PD have better bleeds, with the only argument for Jester being the choice of swapping between a more potent ST bleed or an AoE bleed for a little less damage. Finale is nice and all, but considering it needs build-up to be worth using, and using it in an extended fight as a non-finisher punishes you with a stress debuff, it alone doesn't make the Jester a major damage-dealer. There are infinitely better bleeders and infinitely better damage dealers, but that doesn't mean a S-Healing Jester wouldn't be using aggressive skills (unless you're one of those people who just spam Ballad 24/7). I'm almost always aggressive with a Jester - there is a time for recovering and a time for getting things dead.įor endless, you'd be shooting yourself in the foot by dedicating a slot to an 'offensive' Jester. You won't find me entering normal dungeons without Dirk, Slice, Finale and Stress Heal (for when it's needed). As nice as Battle Ballad is, it's not really worth spamming on trash. Most people only stress-heal when you need it. I just wrapped up a livestream using GR > JES > JES > FLA.
