The battle engine is a little too Dragon Quest-y in terms of execution, and there’s a little confusion on how to actually beat the game, but I adore EarthBound and it’s easily one of the greatest games on the app. Incredible atmosphere, spritework and music back compelling gameplay that allows for a lot of exploration and challenging situations.ĮarthBound – The second best RPG on the system (behind Chrono Trigger) features some of the best localization of any Super Nintendo game, a fantastically bizarre and kooky world to explore, a ton of bops on the soundtrack, and a heartwarming story that just overflows so much heart.
